The City of Long Beach is alive with activity - growing, improving, proudly advancing into the future.  With its strategic location - an ideal spot in Southern California and on the Pacific Rim - year-round balmy climate, healthy business environment and far ranging cultural pursuits, Long Beach is being rediscovered by investors, developers and new businesses in increasing numbers. The City of Long Beach, through it's Business Development Center, offers several financial assistance programs to assist Long Beach businesses with start-up costs, working capital, physical improvements, state tax and hiring credits incentives, and/or growth and expansion.

Several lending programs are available to provide capital to businesses located in Long Beach. The City of Long Beach makes loans to businesses, specifically those unable to obtain financing from conventional sources.  The City of Long Beach offers a $2,000 Business Start-up Grant to encourage an increase in new businesses along certain corridors of the City. The program will provide a $2,000 reimbursement grant to eligible business on a first come-first served basis.

The City of Long Beach offers an urban Enterprise Zone of over 26 square miles, encompassing thousands of uses. No matter if your business is manufacturing or retail; large or small, the Enterprise Zone provides State tax credits that can enhance your business.

The City of Long Beach Business Development Center sponsors a variety of services, programs, and incentives designed to help your business grow and prosper.
